Request RMLP tuition
As part of the Ronald McDonald Learning Program, we offer children who are recovering from a serious illness or chronic condition one-on-one tuition. We help them to catch up on their schoolwork, and developing their confidence in the process.
Criteria
Typically, an RMLP student will fulfil the following conditions:
- Have a serious physical acute or chronic illness
- Been in hospital or similar for a period of time
- Eligible to be enrolled in a mainstream classroom
- Missed a significant amount of schooling
- Behind in schooling as a result of their illness
- Physically well enough to resume back into a mainstream classroom with minimal assistance
- Not diagnosed with an intellectual disability or syndrome eg Down's syndrome, Autism etc. Children with this type of diagnosis are eligible for integration funding or teacher's aide support through their school.
